I got this hoodie a month ago, and have worn it exclusively since I got it. The included CE Level 1 back, shoulder, and elbow pads fit nicely in their pouches, and stay in place as needed.
Unfortunately for me, I just hit a deer at 45-50mph 2 days ago, while wearing this hoodie.
The Kevlar lining did its job, as I slid on my belly on the asphalt upon crashing. There are very minor signs of abrasion on the front, and the back of the right sleeve near the shoulder has large abrasion damage. But the damage did not penetrate all the way through, and as such I have only impact injuries on my left arm, but no road rash at all.
The zippered pockets (internal and external) stayed zipped closed during the crash, and kept my wallet and such safely secured to my person.
Once I have recovered from this incident, and I am ready to buy another bike, I will ABSOLUTELY be buying another of these Torque Hoodies to ride in.
All the gear, ALL THE TIME!
